A study was conducted on the feasibility of a dietary supplement containing a vegetal extract in the form of solid particles by applying the high-pressure homogenization technology in order to reduce the particles’ dimensions. The client was pleased to learn that a careful and rationale choice of excipients and the optimization of the process parameters allowed the creation particles of nanometric dimensions as well as a product with improved functional characteristics.
